Youre very fortunate that you have access to numerous quality installers in California. I recommend you go with VentureShield Ultra or Avery Nano Fusion (this is my first choice) if you can find it....

I would go ahead and install the film. If it is just a few paint chips it will be fine. There is a chance that if you have to remove the film for any reason that it may lift the paint from the chip....

Paint protection film is excellent on carbon fiber. It will protect it and prevent it from getting dinged up. I have been installing it on carbon fiber for years and always recommend it.

Dont worry about the yellowing. Its not that much of an issue anymroe as it was the adhesive that used to yellow. Some of the other yellowing issues stemmed from people using cheap wax on the film.....
