full body clear bra =D
So i got my car covered in clear bra. i can't even tell it's on the car until i get up close. the stuff is pretty durable. I think it's a good investment.
i did the full hood, front fenders, rocker panels, mirrors, pillars, splash guards, little area around the grill, he even did the the space inside the nissan symbol. took a combined total of 9 hours done in 2 days. He messed up on the hood, so he redid it for free XD. the cool thing is he came to my house and did it. takes about 1-2 days to dry. It's a lot cheaper than i expected. I was getting my windows tinted with ceramic tint, and they offered a quarter hood only for $300. He charged me $1100 for everything. I think you guys should get it. and if you're in California i'm sure he'd give you a deal. if you want his info, pm me. |

What film did you go with? I love my Ventureshield Ultra. You're right, you can barely see it. It's a nice way to keep your blood-pressure down when a truck gets in front of you. Love it. It has already saved my paint several nicks. For tint, I went with Pinnacle F1 Ceramic. It is also full of win. Like your mods, same as mine! Also, I would do the headlights, too. DO NOT! let them use alcohol-based prep for them, though. It will craze them. Soap/water prep ONLY on headlights made of polycarbonate. I have my headlights done and you cannot tell. |

i was messing around with photobucket and i read the tutorial lol. yea i used ventureshield. i guess it's ultra cause a when he was tucking the film under the hood, his razor blade was having trouble cutting it. i'm not sure what kind of ceramic tint i got, but it's 9-layered 30% all around and 60% windshield. i'm gonna get my lights smoked and possibly landing strip LEDs =DDDD |

Unless you are going to do a full custom wrap, I would just stick with what you have. What you got is a kit, but a well-done one. If you have him do the whole car piece-meal it just defeats the purpose imo. I went with a kit on my car, too, and a good installer, and am very happy with the results. I did: Rocker panels Rear Brake ducts Front brake vents 1/3 hood 1/3 roof 1/3 fenders full front fascia headlights fog-lights Total cost was $1150 I have yet to get hit in an area that is not filmed *knock on wood*. Save the $$ and just stick with the "trouble areas" since you aren't doing a custom wrap. "Ultra" has nothing to do with how tough it is. Ultra has a gloss coat on it to eliminate orange-peel. Here is what Ultra looks like on my car. (in this picture, the parts done are the headlight, first 1/3 of the hood, and entire front-clip) Last edited by ImportConvert; 05-10-2011 at 11:12 PM. |

but the film is pretty strong. i scratched up the bottom of the vent area on my car when i was pulling out of a gas station ($88.73 FML) but the clearbra took all the punishment. i looked at it later and i could barely notice the scratch. why do they make entrances to gas stations so steep? |

Always ALWAYS angle! I have to do this more in my Z06 than other cars I have owned, but have yet to scrape it. Just angle correct and you should have NO trouble with a 370Z. They have pretty good clearance. |

Ventureshield clear bra pricing
Well apparently i got hooked up because cause he had some extra pieces from a previous 370z that didnt want the full body kit.
But he typically charges $1150 the full hood, fenders, mirrors, bumper and headlights. The rockers would be an extra 300, a pillars extra 80, black pillars 35 each. But that seems more about right when compared to all the other clearbra installations. |
