Maybe I'm paranoid now but I'm finding it hard to get into 1st gear at around 8mph "just to see" with SRM on. But putting it in 1st at 5mph is easy. Normal?

I wouldn't say so. When I drive locally, I turn onto streets in 3rd gear at ~15mph or so and the car feels fine. I never listened for the noise though

Dealer will be putting in the oem gear oil, but I'm shortly after heading to my tuner shop and having them drain it and put in some Redline MT-85. Tranny still has not been installed yet...
