This just happened a few hours ago. Seems like a somewhat thick piece of sheet metal about an inch long and maybe 1/5th or 6th thick impaled my rear right tire some how.
While I was changing into the spare, another 370z pulled over beside me to check and see if I needed any help. Not sure if he is a member here or not, but it was very nice of him. Is this repairable? Im going to a tire shop tomorrow, but would like to have an idea of what I should expect. Last edited by Bad Boy; 01-06-2015 at 09:02 PM. |

For future reference and so there is never any confusion, this is the industry repair standard for all light vehicles tires:
http://www.rma.org/wp-content/upload...lchart1111.pdf As stated by the parameters, no tire may be repaired beyond the following limit: PUNCTURE INJURY LIMIT* 1/4” (6mm) No reputable tire shop would repair that tire. I would definitely look into a shop that includes road hazard as part of your purchase price |

So I bought a brand new tire of the same brand and everything and was able to buy road hazard warranty for all 4 tires.
Is there anything bad about running the rear with different tread depths on each side? here is how it looked on the inside... Last edited by Bad Boy; 01-07-2015 at 11:04 PM. |
