Default Will Z1 splined lug nuts work w/stock Nismo Wheels?

Im having troubles figuring out which open ended lug nuts to use on my factory Nismo wheels (2013 car). Will the Z1 splined (conical) work? Or is this the incorrect seat? Im installing the ARP studs and need an open ended piece.

Thanks for the help. Couldn't find the answer elsewhere.

The reason is because the taper for the seat is different. You will damage your lug nuts and/or wheels, but the biggest problem is that the lug nut won't be fully seated and you will eventually have the wheel come off. I've seen it at the track and it's not cool. I watched a wheel come off a car that was coming out of a fast turn... The wheel rolled/bounced off the track and over a fence onto a busy public road.

TireRack has this nice image on their site that shows the differences:

Z1 makes it clear that they are for aftermarket wheels.

So the answer is no.

Thank you for the quick response! I appreciate it! Should I just cut the chrome piece off the factory lug nut to allow passage of the longer stud?

Probably your best bet. your other option would be to run a huge spacer in there to take up most of the length of the stud.

All about wheel studs and nuts

Link? That's interesting to know, but I would be one more connection holding wheels on.

Wink

No matter what spacer you use. You still have to use the OEM lug nuts with the Nismo rims. The spacers have no bearing on which lug nuts you use on the rims. If you have long studs. You have 2 options. Cut the stud, or cut the top of the lug nut off if using the Nismo rims.

I'm ready to cut the chrome off these lugs anyways, that junk gets stuck in my impact socket constant and drives me "nuts"
