Questions about 20mm spacers
Hi All,
I am thinking to install 20mm spacers on my 2012 370Z (with 19” Rays and stock (rear 275, front 245) Potenza tires). From those having alreay done that I would have two questions: 1) Did you experienced some bearing troubles after installing ? 2) Is the handling and/or comfort has been changed with spacers ? Many thanks. Daniel. |

I have 20mm front and 25 mm rear spacers. I lowered it and pushed the wheels out, lowering the center of gravity. I love the way it rides, and I've had no issues with bearings.

Sorry, can't remember exactly, but I think I went with 15mm all the way around (might have been 20mm in the rear). No issues so far, but only have around 2000 miles since the addition. Added them just after swapping in the Swift springs.

The stud replacement type seems more involved to install, if I don't track are the bolt on type spacers ok to use? I have been thinking about 20mm all around also on stock 19s and stock height...

bolt on 20mm interfere with wheel mating surface on the rears, at least with the old optional nismo s tune wheels. Should be the same with the standard ones too. the stock studs stick out about 21mm, so you can't get a perfect fit unless you go 25 rear.

I had 20mm all around and did not have any issues. I also did not notice any handling issues. Proper installation and hubcentric is critical.

i had 15mm on the 2009 sport 19's rears and they fit okay with the bolt-on type... so 20mm bolt on type should fit okay. the front had some issues where i had to grind off like 1-2mm to clear the stock stud. imo the front didnt look too good with 20mm, was going to get the stud replacement 15mm spacers until the local tire shop ruined one of my wheels during a patch fail. lol..
i just bought new wheels to replace. the nismo wheels ive not even considered using spacers on, so i dont know. |
