what would you do???
I recently got a nail in my rear tire (of course on sidewall that can not be fixed). The rear tires have 4 tread and the front tires have 7 tread. I bought 4 new tires because they were on sale. Would you replace all 4 tires and save the front two tires OR replace the 2 rear now and then the front 2 later when needed. Thanks!

You will probably burn through rear tires 2:1. Might as well keep the fronts as long as you can.

It depends on the condition of the old tires and how you drive.
If it's a DD that doesn't get driven very hard and the other side is in good shape, you may be able to get away with replacing just the one tire. Personally, I'd only do that on a grocery-getter and not a sports car. If the fronts are in good shape, I'd replace both backs and store the new fronts until needed. If you track or drive hard, then I'd definitely replace both backs, just to keep things even, and make a judgement call on whether to change the fronts or not. YMMV
