...I guess this is a new tire for '13.
Did a search but not getting correct search hits (seems to be showing pretty much anything with Michelin and pilot sport in the post). So, is anyone using these? I have an "out the door" price of $1,325 for the original sizes (245/275 - 19) as replacement from Discount Tire. Tire Rack has them for $1,210 shipped to me (including road hazard ins.). It looks like a wash because it will likely cost about $100 to do the swap. The Michelin PSS (older tire) costs more and has a mileage of 30,000 whereas the one I list above has 45,000. Comments? (thanks)

They are all seasons, so uou can't compare with the A/S+
And they are very new tires, so I wouldn't expect much in the way of reviews yet

If the A/S+ is the tire you want, I'd rather go A/S3. Newer, Michelin rates them as a better tire in every respect, and if you buy them from somewhere local. Which I mean, Costco, if you don't like them, you have a 30 day return policy from the manufacturer. And I say Costco because I bet they won't screw you for the install again

Yeah, like you in SoCal, probably don't even need an all season. If it DOES rain in Atlanta, I just slow down to avoid hydroplane. And it rarely snows here (and if it did, I'd just drive the truck till it was gone). So, all I really need is a summer tire. I asked because it was cheaper (than the older PSS Michelin) and had more mileage warranty on them. Also, aren't all season tires louder on pavement?

Mimics the PSS in design but this is an all season tire. For actual max performance in your climate range get the Pilot Super Sport(PSS). Id consider this for my GTi but not my Z. Last edited by DLSTR; 10-02-2013 at 09:41 AM. |

Hey Slynky, did you ever end up getting the A/S 3 tires? I'm considering them as replacements for the stock Potenzas when the winter comes. If you did, what do you think of them?

I just bought pair of 285/35/19 to replace stock rear tire, so far I have no complain but I have not put them under any hard test yet.
I feel it give me a nicer ride and defiantly more quieter I hope this helps. |
