TPMS Question

I've got my four rims off my car getting repainted, and I'm using a set borrowed from a good friend. Due to the different wheels, my TPMS light came on.

Default TPMS Question

I've got my four rims off my car getting repainted, and I'm using a set borrowed from a good friend. Due to the different wheels, my TPMS light came on.

Question - will I need to reset anything when I re-install my wheels?

No just reinstall your wheels back in the same location they came from drive around for maybe 15-20 minutes and it will go off.

I replaced the TPMS sensors on my 2013 sport Touring with Orange Electronic P409S Retrofit Tire Pressure Monitoring System. Love the system, provides real time tire pressures and temperatures. However, without the stock TPMS sensors the tire light is always on. Any one know of a way to turn it off?

Yet another TPMS Question.

I'm still going through the Owner's Manual of the new one that's been purchased and now waiting for springtime in Wisconsin.

From what I can determine, the tire pressure monitor is only used to trip a dashboard light if a tire is somewhat low in air pressure.

On my FX 35, I can push the Maintenence button and get the individual tire pressures of each of the four tires. I find I use this often--each time I drive the car, in fact.

Since the pressures are already being sent by the tire pressure monitors, is there any product available with the capability of capturing and displaying these numbers--either dashboard mounted or hand-held?

You're good. My winter wheels don't have sensors, then when I put back on my summer wheels/tires the light goes right off after a few miles.

Some people make a pressurized container of PVC and put the sensors in there with a Schrader valve and they pressurize it to rated tire pressure and throw it in the trunk. Voila' the dash light goes off and no more TPMS nag. They're at the ideal pressure in the little container.
