18s help picking tires

ok I need some help after searching the forums still pretty damn confused about what I can do:

the car:

2009 370z Automatic
Touring (no sport package)

stock tires are:

Front 225/50/18
Rear 245/45/18

I'd like a wider tire in the rear but I want to remain on the 18 inch rims and I'm also going to go with ALL SEASON tires year round as I think the Dry grip should be just fine.

according to TireRack.com an optional size for the rear is 275/40/18 on my car but it doesn't list an optional size for the front. so my question is do I have to run 225/50/18 and 275/40/18 in the rear?

or

Could I run 245/45/18 in the front and 275/40/18 in the rear. The Tires I'm looking at are the :

Michelin - Pilot Sport A/S Plus
Front 245/45/18

and

Michelin - Pilot Sport A/S Plus
Rear 275/40/18

could anyone offer some input as to whether this would acceptable for my goal of a bit wider tire on the rear, adding an all season tire since I will have to drive this in bad weather on occasional and hopefully the tire will perform well in dry weather. The car won't be tracked and I plan on doing the tires after I get my car back from AAM Competition because they'll have it a few days for some performance mods.

those would be perfect kevin. i ran a 255/45 on my fronts for a bit but a 245/45 on front will be better i think. the 255 was a little over reached on an 8" wide wheel imo. 275/40 works great for the rears. same size i had on my base wheels and transferred them over to my new wheels. i think you'll be extremely happy with the A/S+ a lot of people under estimate them because they are an all season tire but you will be surprised. Also if you have a costco membership, we are doing $70 off a set for Michelins right now.

I got my car with the Michelin pilot super sports, and they are great, but I drove it in the snow today and they really suck for that. I am considering a second set if wheels.

super sports are summer tires. they were never meant to see snow....EVER!

I wanted to get the Michelin PSS s but its winter time here in the mid atlantic, so I went with the Continental Extreme DWSs and I am very happy with them. I have been out in the snow ( 1-2 inch ) twice already with no issues. They are great in the rain and on the dry as well. Summer tires on a 350 or 370 in the winter = trouble. I will get the PSSs but not now.

Perks to being in Hawaii.......no such thing as winter lol. There is hardly fall or spring LOL!
