snow tires on all 4 or just rear??

Hey i was just wondering if it'd work well to put snow tires on the rear only, or is that not a good idea?

not a good idea for any car, especially not for the Z ... all four tires should be winters

Snow tires are not just for snow, they are for cold weather. Below 45 degrees, regular tires get too hard and do not grip. Snow tires stay soft in cold weather and maintain their grip.

So yes, you especially want them on the front tires as well.

Go with 225 or narrower. Wider tires don't work well in the snow.

I've driven with the RE050A's in 32F temps just fine. They take a few miles to warm up, so no aggressive driving. Winter/snow tires usually go on just before the first snow fall and come off late feb/early march here in chicago.

All four, definitely.

I run 245 winters all around on my 5.0, but then again I live in the Mid Atlantic so 95% of my winter driving is on cold but dry pavement, so I wanted a balance of dry grip and snow performance. They work just fine, but you're right, the narrower the better in snow. I would stick with 225 all around with the Z. Too narrow and you're going to have dry grip issues especially with 330+ hp.
