Firestone Indy 500’s a final review
Backs are all but slicks and tried to kill me today in a downpour. Fronts are worn unevenly. Passenger side much worse, but I could probably go another 5000 miles or so after an alignment check and rotation. They did get a bit “Squirrelly” in the rain at about 15,000 miles at anything over 50 MPH.
All told, just a tad over 20,000 miles on them. Never been aligned or rotated. For $900 installed, I can’t complain at all. Just ordered another set today. Maybe not for everyone, but for a daily driver, 20,000 miles on a set of ultra high performance tires is an incredible bang for your buck. Would I track them? Probably not, since they are “only” rated a “w” (158 MPH), but on a DD they outperformed anything I ever had, and I’ve had many. Cheap, quiet, long lasting and grippy. 5 stars!

I've had a set on my Z since late 2017 and I'm getting ready to replace them. They have some life left in them, but I just got a larger set of wheels, so I need to move from an 18" to a 19" tire. For the price, they can't be beat. I plan to order a 19" set in a month or two.
I did track my current set once when I first got them. I attended the Z Nationals that year and ran them on Road Atlanta. They had an incredible amount of stickiness and really impressed me. If you're a track enthusiasts and track a lot, as the OP stated, look for something with a higher rating. But if you daily drive your Z, or if you're like me and only drive it in nice weather on the weekends, these tires can't be beat for the price. Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
