Default Potenza S007a

I've searched around the forum and cant seem to find anyone who has actually tried the tire mentioned in my thread title, so has anyone actually tried them out and if so what did you think of them as a street/track tire? Thanks for any information anyone can provide, going to be purchasing tires within the next day or so and need the input as i need tires before the weekend.

Yes i did, pretty happy with them so far. Pretty substantial upgrade in the amounts of grip compared to the firehawks i had before and not much more expensive. Talked to rocco and he said they use the s007a as oem tire for audi and Ferrari but did digress that he doesn't know if they are quite as good as the old re-11a but did say they use a newer tread compound so may offer just as good of performance. Only caveats that may be a dealbreaker for some is that they are a little loud when brand new but that reduces to at least an acceptable level once the tires are broken in, other than that they are really smooth and responsive to steering inputs.

Close to 30,000 miles i got out of my firehawks, definitely a go to tire on my list of bang for the buck tires, seems Bridgestone is being pretty aggressive with their overall pricing for their tires in certain sizes though. I was tempted to go up a step to re-71r as they were only about $200 more than the s007a, but thought I'd give the s007a a shot seeing as no one on these forums had really said much about them.

I believe they make a run flat version but you can also just get regular ones
