Spacers on spacers? Not a good idea?

Searched on the forums and no luck. I read through the old spacers thread and all 25 had no info on this. I currently have 20mm Z1 bolt on spacers

Default Spacers on spacers? Not a good idea?

Searched on the forums and no luck. I read through the old spacers thread and all 25 had no info on this.

I currently have 20mm Z1 bolt on spacers on my fronts with stock Nismo wheels. They’ve work for 15k miles no problems. Looking for a more aggressive fitment. Looking in to getting 25mm spacers.

Then it dawned on me, would it be possible to just buy 5mm spacers and slap them on my “bolt on” ones? Has anyone done this? Any help with this is appreciated!

5mm is such a small difference I wouldn't bother

But if you inside, it would depend how long the studs see on the z1 spacers

From a basic engineering standpoint, you want as few points of failure as possible.

Just swap to 25mm if you're wanting to. I'd definitely switch from bolt ons.

You never want to add additional slip planes to a bolted connection. From that standpoint you should never run spacers. If you are dead set on running them, then I agree with the previous posts, buy a set with the thickness you want. Don’t added them on top of each other.

If you haven’t already tried it; bolt a rear Nismo wheel on the front (without a spacer) & the outer lip will be equivalent to running 30mm spacers up front.
