Default 370z tire help

I'm pretty much new to cars, i always throw my money at the mechanics, to get it fixed.

Now i want to do it by myself.

So i have stock RIMS and yokhahoma all season tires. They were pretty bad in the winter last year.

Am i going to be okay if i just buy winter tires from Bridgestone? or i should also get new RIMS and tires.

Also i live in denver, so one day it snows and the next day the snow melts away and 70C again .

Should i keep switching winter and all season tires all the time? can i drive with winter tires on a regular day?

i'm sorry im noob

If you:
1) Drive your car year around, including in the snow
2) Enjoy driving your sports car like a sports car in the summer

You should be running completely different tires in the winter and summer. Most people get a second set of wheels (usually crappy ones) for the winter so they don't have to have tires mounted/remounted and can just swap the winter wheels on themselves.

This way you get get nice grippy summer tires for the summer and good snow tires for the winter.

For the price of a set of tires and rims plus a little more, I would get a winter beater and save the Z.

Yes i want to get second set of wheels.

1)What should buy as a second set of wheels? i tried researching but all i foundis mixed opinions?
2)i live in denver. one day it snows and the other day its like summer. Should i keep switching between winter and summer tires?

do you think this setup would do 18" MSW Type 11 wheels and Blizzak LM-60? please recommend something else. Thank you very much

The Ultra High Performance All Season tires are really good,
Michelin A/S 3+
Continental DWS 06
look on tirerack.com at videos of them
Or use your stock wheels for beaters & pick up a new set for spring/summer
Jason@Getyourwheels.com can help you spec some,
or look at some listed for sale on the Forum,,,lotta combo's fit the ~Z~

If you aspire to have a sweet set of rims, might as well get them and use them for fair weather wheels and relegate the stock wheels to winter use.

If not, I'd just pick up a cheap second hand set of base 18" wheels and use them for winter wheels. They will fit over the sport brakes if your car has them. (According to this thread: Base OEM Wheel and Sports Pkg Brake)

i actually like your idea. i think mine has sports brakes becuase mine is sports package.

can i fit winter tires on stock wheels? Can help me with the specification of what wheels and tires i should get?

Here is the question that no one is answering. can i drive with winter tires on a regular day? bcz weather is pretty unpredictable and we get summer weather even in the winter

I enjoy the Z so much that it's hard for me to choose to "stow the Z" for up to 4-5 months a year even though I have that option. Love my big Rays, but I strap on a winter set of 18" Enkei wheels & Blizzak tires and go at it year 'round. (2013 and creeping up on 110,k miles now.)

Do what you enjoy doing.

Stock 18" wheels will clear the sports brake kit. I used them with Blizzaks for rare winter drives. Summer tires are terrible\dangerous under 40° and I have plenty of nice cold days I can drive without snow and slush,so I prefer to have two sets of wheels and tires. I don't want to give up the performance of summer tires the rest of the year. Winter tires will not give you ultimate performance, but can be driven in warm weather without any issues. Just don't try to push them like summer tires. I usually swap wheels around this time of year and again in April. There are plenty of days that the temps jumps from 20s to 60s and it works out fine.
