Anyone hear of Designwerks wheels?
Been looking around for a set of shoes for the Z and I am very picky when It comes to the way wheels look on her. I found a very interesting set of wheels that I love the design on and haven't seen around before, called Velos D5 wheels. I don't know if the company is for exotic cars only but they want about 7k for the set which I think is insane. Am I missing something or are they even a legit company? they have 12k people on there facebook but no one ever comments and the same 3 people like their pictures and they are all from outside the U.S. Can't find much on Google reviews besides a beemer forum. Has anyone here ever heard of them or come across them? Love the look and think they would look killer on the Z but I feel I would have a hard time swallowing that bill.

Never heard of them, but the wheels do look interesting.
Looks like they are custom made to your desired specs. Custom made always means higher price.

But 7k seems outrageous

Not really, if the wheels are good quality. There are wheels easily twice that.

You've never priced carbon fiber wheels.

I don't think i even want to know haha, just worried that the company isn't a fake or just there for the money as i've never seen these wheels in person and can't find hardly anything in the google but if they are that small and only local that could be why and maybe the price

That kinda money & I'd be on a set of Forgeline's built in Ohio & lot's of beautiful wheel's to choose from....and being a wheel/tire enthusiast,,,I like a lot of different wheel's & tire set-up's; can be costly to own a few different set's.

The name of the company is actually VELOS designworks, you seem to have mixed that up
More pix of the D5 wheel on a GTR: Nissan GTR on Velos D5 Wheels - VELOS Designwerks | Performance Not my cup of tea, but you should hop over to GTRLIfe and dig around there. I think Vivid Racing was selling them

No thank you, not going to suggest buying wheels from a brand that has no real history
Too many options for our cars to go with a low volume company that might not be around in a few years |
