New or powder coat
Should I buy these Forgestar CF5's in bronze burst, or powder coat the stockers in a similar color? I can't decide..Keep going back and forth!!! I guess my main concern is will the stockers look good in the bronze or would they look weird?

I'd need to see some more examples but in my opinion custom colors on aftermarket wheels look better. I'm sure someone will post up some images that will make me rethink that though! |

Im not sure Id buy a set of wheels with tires that cost the same as powder coating the stock wheels. Whats that, about $400-600 at most?
Between the two options, Id powder coat the stock wheels bronze. |

If you can find a decent place that will strip the wheels really well and prep them, you can get a really good finish. Bronze Burst should cost you about $400 - $500 including paint strip...
From my experience, the better the wheel, the better the finish. Usually, simple cheap cast wheels will have a wavy, orange peelish finish and a nice forged wheel will have a smoother finish. Also depends on the prep work and finishing from the powder coater. Bronze burst looks great in the sun by the way! Perfect for practically every color car.

looks good! You gotta do some close up shots of the wheels to really show off those metallic bronze flakes.
