Default Tire advise needed for endurance racing 370z

Hi All

Rules state tires must be 180 UQTG.

Race is 9 hour sat/sun, 5 drivers and a friday full day of practice. One set of tires to start with on friday and through saturday, if they are still good we will run them, if not fresh set on sunday.
The glen is the first race and it is easy on tires after the repave.I ran in a BMW there last year and the Falken's looked brand new after three days of racing. (It was cold and wet half of the time)

Looking for input on what tires are recommended for the following:
2009 370z
18x10.5 Squared
Enkei NT03+ rims
-4 front camber
-2.5 rear camber
JRZ remote 2 way adjustable
Don't have the spring rates handy

Rules state tires must be 180 UQTG.

We have looked at the following:
Falken Azenis
Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R
Direzza ZII Star Spec
Nitto NT-05
We are leaning towards the RE71R but I am hearing of potential lack of longevity. (At the glen this may not be a problem, see comment above.)

Any endurance guys out there with recommendations ?

Thanks in advance

-M

The RE-71R will not hold up in endurance racing. It has been proven many times in Chumpcar and AER. The RT-615K is well liked, as are the NT05's and ZII SS. The NT05's are a little on the slow side, and might not do well on the heavier Z chassis depending on your spring rates and aero setup.

You may also want to look at the outgoing RS3, although availability might be hard now that the RS4 is coming out in March. The ZII SS will also be getting replaced at some point this year, but no details are really official on that yet.

Another tire to look at is the Nexen SUR4. They have been proven to be long lasting with pretty high grip levels.

We have it narrowed down to the Hankook Rs4 and Dunlop Direzza.

Another tire to look at are the new Continentals that are coming out...would be good for wet conditions. They are getting some good reviews.

Check out the time trials Super Street has done. Conti supplied the tires.

Toyo RA1s are DOT legal and way better for longevity than any performance street tyres. I ran many many track days on 18 inch square fit 18x275s. Highly recommended!!
