Default AVANTE GARDE wheels need help

So I recently purchased AVANTE GARDE wheels and slapped them on the car. The specs are 20x11 all the way around with a +15 offset. Front tires are toyo proxes 275/35/20. Rear are 305/30/20. The wheels are super light!!!!! The problem that is happening now is that whenever I punch it even a little bit I have nooooo traction what so ever!! I make a left and lose traction instantly. What should I do? What could be the problem?

what firehawk said.

also what tires were you running before? the T1R is a decent tire, but not necessarily the grippiest. T1 sport is a bit better. R888 is insanely grippy. proxes is pretty much what toyo names any of their performance tires. so knowing the model might help in solving the mysterious disappearance of traction.

i would still suspect bad alignment before the tires though.

Okay I totally did not even think about the alignment. I will get that done ASAP. I will also have to check what the exact model is on the tires. Rear ones are T1r. Previously I was running vossen cv3 20x10.5 all the way around. 275/35/20 on rear(which I am now using on the front same exact tire) and 255/30/20 (which I have sold)

Good to hear the AG's are light, I have some shipping as we speak. The shipping label said 152lbs for all 4, I almost passed out. So maybe they are using a ballpark number. Mine are the AG Form / Function line

I guarantee a good bit of that is the weight of the boxes and packaging material used...you'd be surprised how it adds up

The wheels are SUPER light I had vossens before and if you pick one up for a minute you get tired really fast however the AG wheels you could hold for a couple minutes

Make sure you get your alignment checked. And make sure you have toe in on the rear that way you don't have snap oversteer.

also if you have brand new tires it may take a bit of driving before they get grippy

I've had 2 different sets of AG Wheels, and they definitely pack the boxes nicely. Hard material, and some hard foam was used to secure the wheels from moving even the slightest inside the boxes. Big fan of AG wheels.
