Hey guys, How long does a car need to sit before you begin to see "Flat-Tire Spots"?

Depending on the drop in the temp., flat spots could happen over night. I had constant flat spots on my old Xterra during the winter. But our temps fall well below -25 Degrees C in Ontario. Once the truck started rolling and the tires 'warmed up', the flat spots would disappear.

I remember SP9000's would not unflatspot and it was a royal pita.
Just over inflate the tires or take it another step like me and place on flatstoppers by raceramps for hibernation |

I have cars in storage with the company I run, we do maintenance every 2 weeks, in between the 2 weeks they sit in storage. I've not had any complaints about flat spots. We pump all tires up to 40 psi when they come in.

Temporary flat spots can occur after just a few hours. Or a few weeks. Depends on the compound, temperature, inflation, and weight of vehicle. They usually disappear very quickly (within a few miles if ambient/road temperature isn't cold).
If you are worried about long-term storage, there are several good threads on this site. If you can't find them using the site's search, try one of the major web search engines and add "site:the370z.com" to your search string.

Great info! Thanks guys. I don't do much storage since I am in Southern CA but i have gone 2 weeks without taking the Z out. Just curious overall. Sounds like I'll be safe.

I park my car typically from mid November until mid/late march weather pending. never had a flat spot and typically I just start and run the car where the only movement is to get the exhaust out of the garage. garage that the car is kept in is partially heated though. usually around 55-65 degrees constant. kick it up a slight bit when working or detailing in the winter.
