Looking for new wider tires for 2013 Base 370Z. Help!
Hi everyone,
I'm currently running on stock Yokohama tires on my 2013 Base 370Z (Rear: 245/45/18 & Front: 225/50/18). Car mileage is roughly 14K and the tires are approaching the end of their life. If I am looking to go for wider summer tires (for a meatier look) what are my options? I am thinking of moving the 245/45/18 to the front but how wide can I go in the back and what are some good summer tire recommendations? Thanks!! |

I also have a 2013 Base MT that I have wasted the second set of 18's (OEM size) all the while the fronts are in great shape. I don't do burnouts or any of that type crap, just really enjoy my car. Without looking it up, I feel like I have gotten around 10K out of my second set of rears. With all of this, I would like to consider as wide a set of tires as possible on these rims to give me better traction, and solicit better ideas on a brand/model tire that will give good service on my car. I'm not asking for "great life" from these tires, but tires that will give me good traction straight line and coming out of corners. As I said, I really enjoy my car.

Sorry, I missed the " base " part. Should have noticed right away with the 18" posted. I can't believe there is that much difference in width compared to the stock 19" Rays. Anyway, I strongly suggest the Michelin PSSs. They are the most awesome tire I have had and I have had a lot of other brands.
Memphis370Z, Suggest " Red Barchetta " for the back roads. |

I did the calculations, you could go up to 245/45/18 front and 275/40/18 rear and it is closer to the same rolling resistance. These are the sizes i am getting once i get my new tires next week.

Thanks all for the replies!
Geddy, I was considering either Michelin PSS, Bridgestone S-04, or Bridgestone RE050A. Which of these would be a good balance between daily driving & the occasional spirited driving along with price and especially life? |
