Default 18x9 Wheel Fitment With Ackebono Brakes

Did a search and could not find information I was looking for. Is the issue with fitment on Ackebono brakes and 18" wheels offset or barrel size of wheel. I have called a couple of wheel manufacturers and ask if their 18" wheels will clear and I think without even knowing they just state no. Getting kind of frustrating. Not wanting to spend a ton of money on wheels as I hoping 370z gets moved to STU next year for autocross.

I think it's off set, maaaaybe barrel shape, I run a set of 18's off a track edition 350Z with no problems, could use some wheel spacers, but just for the look, everything clears, but they sit in a lot.

I run the folllwoing with no problems

Rays 57Gram Lights 8.5 x 18 +33
Rays TE37 8.5 x 18 +30
Enkei PF01 9.5 x 18 +35 with 13mm spacer

The barrels all clear Akebono calipers

offset and spoke design. I run 350z track wheels, widened an inch to the inside, and they fit just fine. that and 18" Forgestar F14s.

What is Rim Offset and Backspacing? How Do They Affect Fitment? - The Truth About Tires | Tire Rack

You'll need to measure the backspacing. When armed with measurements, it will be much easier for a vendor to help you.

It will vary from wheel to wheel depending how the spokes are designed which is why an 18 like the the advan tc3, even in higher offsets, can clear gtr brakes

while the rpf1 cannot.

As mike mentioned, a lot of autocross guys like forgestars.

^RPF1 does fit, in 18x9.5 (+15)

Test fit Enkei RPF1 in 18s :(

You have to take it on a case by case basis

First question is what is your budget? Second is try to find a style you like and we can offer suggestions

Most 1-piece wheels from a reputable brand should fit, it all depends on design

Wheel is made by Konig. 18x9 with +30 offset. As I stated earlier was hoping to get by with an "affordable" this year hoping the car gets switched to STU next year........

I should have been more specific. The rpf1 in the same higher offset as the tc3 will not fit due to spoke design.

you have to remember, that post was from 2009 when enkei did not make the proper fitment. things have changed since.

I just got my 18x9 +35 PF01 and they clear the calipers more than the 19" S-tune wheels.
