Cubby Tablet Computer Mounting Kit
At long last I've reached the point where I'm ready to start production and sales of my Cubby Tablet Mounting Bezel. This enables you to simply unbolt the cubby and directly replace it with this mounting bezel without having to cut or modify any of the existing stock components. While I developed this for the Nexus 7 tablet, it is sized to accommodate most 7 inch tablets. I’m also excited to announce that I’ve been able to source the connectors that Nissan used to connect the Triple Gauge Cluster and have created a plug-and-play Y-cable that connects the tablet assembly to this cable so that no cutting or splicing is required . These two components makes your installation completely reversible should you ever want to reinstall your cubby return to stock.
I am offering the 3D printed unfinished white nylon bezel for the DIY crowd as well as satin black finished version that for now I am building to order. For the DIY buyers, I am offering a black vinyl product with leather appearance that can be used to cover the bezel and closely matches the center console trim and cubby door. I also plan to provide some tips for sanding and painting in my blog. You’ll see that in addition to the mounting bezels, I’m also offering kits to help you complete your installation. I’ve worked extensively over the last year to select and source the components that fit and work the best. While you can easily find some these on Amazon and save a few bucks, my kits include the hard to find cables as well as making the connector changes that are needed to connect them cleanly. I’ve sweated through many of the details that are easily overlooked so you won’t have to! My new website 370DesignZ.com will describe these products, enable you to order them, and provide detailed instructions to guide you through all steps of the installation process. I invite you to check it out and read about the development of my installation and the trade-offs you may want to think about as you create yours. Also, I hope you'll post your questions, comments, suggestions, etc. here and I'll do my best to respond promptly. This venture is new territory for me so I'm depending our reader feedback to decide how much to concentrate on the DIY buyers vs those that want more complete kits which demand a lot more time and unfortunately money to be viable. Finally, a word of thanks to those of you who posted and contacted me from the DIY thread as I was developing this. Your feedback more than anything else motivated me to see this through to this point! I hope I have and can continue to meet most of your expectations. Last edited by ltullos; 06-25-2014 at 08:58 PM. I apologize for this trouble as I've been there before and know how irritating it can be. I appreciate you letting me know. I booted Firefox for Chrome about a year ago, but I am able to open it with FF 23.0.1

Sorry, I'm clueless and too exhausted tonight to know how to troubleshoot and fix this. Best I can offer is the "clear cookies & cache" advice which is what I get every time something won't load, which BTW has NEVER worked for me. |

Works for me using IE 9.0.8122.16421 (64-bit). Still a no-go using FF. Your page code looks overly complicated to me but I did all my web work back before the turn of the century.

Created with WIX. Has some really nice features - but only useful if people can actually display them! I'll have to have their pros take a look at it to see how I unwittingly broke it.
In the interim, anyone unable to get home page to load might try to start from here instead, and then select other pages from the menu bar. Worse case, there's also a mobile version, but I shudder to think how that's going to render. |

Price drop alert
Thanks to the a revised pricing model from my 3D printing supplier, I've reduced the price of the Unfinished Tablet Mounting Bezel to $185.
This comes as white nylon with slightly textured surface that can be sanded & painted, powder-coated, or otherwise covered with material matching the surrounding shroud. You can find further details at my website including size compatibility with most popular tablet models. Contact me from the website or PM me if you have questions. |
