ECUTEK : Weird 7AT torque demand
Gents,
Ive had ecutek custom map on my 09 370z jdm 7at for 3 months already with light NA mod. Car have custom 2.5'' exhaust with test pipe and stock intake with drop ins. Off the bat, I can feel the additional gain on day to day driving. I drive my car 90% on manual mode and since tuning i felt something weird on my gear engagement. Gear 1 to 2 were snappy to jerky depend on RPM, 2 to 3 were lagging to hanging where i can count to second before it engage if at low sub 4k rpm, 3 to 4 snappy with no jerk and 4 to 5 is lagging same as 2 to 3. I did ask my tuner today why it lags and he told me that ECUTEK table had those particular table of 1 to 2, 3 to 4 only hence why i call weird. He only increase the torque demand another 5%. Can somone pro tuner enligthen me on this feature? Why cant it be across the board on all gear instead of those select few. My tuner really being secretive on what he change, car get 291 whp with 28 whp gain on dynojet. Help !! zen |

On UpRev you are able to adjust the line pressures up to make the shifts faster and smoother. With the supercharger my 2,3,4 shifts were horrible so we adjusted mine up above 4k rpm and the thing bangs into gear now but I know nothing about ecutech.

Same in my current UPREV tune now. My tuner raised mine to firm the shifts up . I haven't dyno'd yet but I'm around 300 WHP ( have had the mods I have before ). ECUTEKS biggest issue right now is the timing advances itself so the rpms hang , but I heard this was only on decel?

The issue is the line pressure increase only affect 1 to 2 and 3 to 4 and not accross the board 1 to 5. I never be in 6 and 7. Tuner reply is questionable and due to lack of manuals on how to tune ecutek 370z i dont know of its true or false that theres only table for 1 to 2 and 3 to 4, why miss 2 to 3?
