Default Finally did my tune

Hey guys I finally got time to go hang with a buddy who owns a shop in asheville nc with a dyno. Hes basically an ecu guru and has devoted his life to this point to such ventures but had never tuned a z so he was excited for the oportunity as well. So several hours, beers and slices of pizza later I never new how much i could enjoy driving this thing. It took a while for us to figure out the uprev software but once we figured out my fan was on auto and not off we got it to flash the roms. All in all it was pretty pain free he was the genious behind it but he said it was overall a generally easy car to tune. He said he messed with timing in a couple spots and air fuel was pretty lean on my baseline so he kept adding fuel in places over the next few pulls and the engine seemed to like it. Overall Im super happy with the result the car used to bog a little starting from a stop and feel sort of choppy at rpm below 3000 and now its buttery smoothe. So heres my mods and dyno values:

Mods:
-HKS Hi-Power Exhaust
-Berk Resonated Test Pipes
-HPS Post MAF tubes
-Light weight flywheel (also stage 1 clutch)
-Uprev tune

Maps:
-Map 1: Performance Map
-Map 2: Valet Map limited at 6000 rpm and 60mph
-Map 3: Launch control map for sticky track (3800 rpm rev limit)
-Map 4: Launch control for road in summer (3600 rpm rev limit)
-Map 5: Cold tire launch control (3400 rpm rev limit)

Dynocom DC-1800 with eddy brake. (he also has the dynocom record at 2441 whp)

Baseline Numbers (sae default corrected; pull in 4th gear):
-317.1 hp @ 7000 rpm
-272 ft-lbs tq @ 4450 rpm

Final Numbers (sae default corrected; pull in 4th gear):
-329.2 hp @ 7250 rpm
-280.0 ft-lbs tq @ 4400 rpm

cdoxp800 and hjo1078 like this.

Valet map should be red line at 3000-4000RPM, and speed at 30-45!

And you can do an anti theft map that the car doesn't turn on

true i had him set the valet map primarily for when my brother drives my car home from the bars so he can get on the interstate but he cant have any fun (very seldom) but i live in sc so i never have the need to actually valet park the car. But I can change that whenever without the need to visit a dyno....I didnt think about the anti theft map tho that might be useful!

Thanks man! Ill have to check with him and get back to you I told him this could be some good advertising for him but he mainly does it for a hobby now and didn't initially seem too interested in doing bulk z's but hey he might be open to it. Ill keep you posted!

Glad your happy with the car but can you explain how the launch control is going to work if the car can't rev to red line?

Basically you hold down the right thumb (cruise set) button on the sterring wheel and that sets the rev limit to a lower value like 3400 rpm. Then as you launch you let off with your thumb and you car revs to its normal redline.
