Default Motion Lab Tuned 422whp/310wtq 2010 Z Stillen, GReddy, and MLT great results @ 10PSI!

Shop: Motion Lab Tuning
Dyno Type: Dynocom FX5000-AWD
Boost: 10psi
Fuel: 93OCT
Target AFR: 11.5:1
SAE Corrections: Default Corrections
Peak HP at RPM: 422whp @ 6500 RPMs
Peak Torque at RPM: 310wtq @ 5750 RPMs
Transmission: Stock 6speed
Gear: 5th
Engine Management: UpRev Osiris tuning suite
Engine/Power Modifications:
  • Stillen Supercharger kit w/ 10PSI pulley
  • GReddy TI-C Catback
  • Z1 Motorsports oil cooler
  • NGK GT-R Spark plugs
  • OEM GT-R Injectors
  • Mishimoto Aluminum radiator
  • Quaife LSD
  • Z1 Motorsports 6puck clutch and flywheel set-up
  • Turbosmart BPV
  • Michelin Pilot Sport 295's
  • VOLK Racing GT-S wheels

Here are the results from the great looking 2010 370z we had on our dyno last night. We did a wide variety of mods that really made for impressive performance on the dyno. We installed the Stillen kit, swapped on a new GReddy TI-C catback, upgraded the clutch and clutch slave cylinder, installed a Quaife LSD in the rear end, upgraded the radiator, hooked up a beautiful DEFI White racer boost gauge, and finished it off with a custom dynotune via UpRev. The Stillen kit is as it comes out the box, not upgraded impeller, but it does have the smaller pulley for 10PSI of boost over the original 8PSI. These motors respond so well to boost its almost like Nissan meant for them to be that way off the lot, haha. The car already had a aftermarket oil cooler set-up with -10AN lines to a thermostatic sandwich plate which is a must for ANY Z. To further aid in cooling we upgraded the radiator with a Mishimoto replacement. It features all aluminum construction combined with the thicker core size. This later came back to make our lives a little more difficult however because due to the thicker core we ran into fitment issues in the front with all the various coolers hooked up. After a little creative mounting we managed to get everything together and re-installed the bumper to complete the supercharger set-up. Also while the car was here we removed the transmission and the rear differential to fit some additional upgrades. He went with a 6puck clutch set-up and the Quaife LSD for the rear. The 6puck engages surprisingly smooth on these cars, with minimal chatter which is a common issue even with a full face disc. The LSD really helped the 295 Michelin pilot sport tires hook. The helical design is very robust for years of enjoyment both on the street and the track. Filled full of Redline Heavyweight shockproof its ready for the abuse! With all the high quality parts used its no surprise the dyno results were impressive!

Sweet setup.

Do the GTR injectors just plug right into the 370 harness?

What year GTR and size injectors are they?

What was the duty cycle at 10 psi?

Is this with stock cats? and 2.5" exhaust?

Also, was there a baseline dyno run for the car prior to the Stillen stuff?

Looks like there was some belt slippage at 6500K.

I don't know the specifics about the injectors so I'll let Motion Lab answer. This was with Berk high flow cats and the GReddy Ti C exhaust 2.75" pipes.

My baseline for the car was 300hp and that was consistent, performed on two different dynos. That was with AEM intakes, Berk HFCs, Akrapovic exhaust and no tune.

Not too sure about slippage, maybe just a hiccup....boost doesn't taper off.

Brides...I would love to oblige with the vids. I just need to get this thing on the track or something. Probably wont be for a few weeks because I'm going TDY for work (Air Force).

Future370zzz,

These are the OEM GT-R injectors which are included with the Stillen "Turn-Key" kit. They share the same connector as the 370z so yes they are a true drop-in plug-n-play injector. Same can be said for Deatschwerks brand if you decide you want or need something larger in the future. I am unaware of the exact duty cycle but these should support about 550hp on pump gas with an ~85% duty cycle

This car had Berk Tech HFC and the GReddy TI-C dual catback that uses a 60mm(2.36" per bank) inner pipe diameter.

The drop in boost could also be associated with the VVEL/VVT tuning as well.

Thanks,
Alex Goodwin

Oh and this car in particular convinced me that every 370z needs an upgraded LSD. It hooks so much better than all the other boosted guys we have running around on the OEM vLSD.

Thanks,
