Default to tune or not to tune

I am really leaning toward getting my car tuned by seb from specialty z w/ his off the shelf package but I was wondering will I feel a noticeable difference in power before I pull the trigger. I want my car to be a little more preppier; I currently have a stillen gen 3 cold air intake, motordyne intake mannifold, and full catback exhaust system, and im not "planning" to add anything else so I think im ready for the tune. So to get tuned or not to get tuned, that's the question

If you don't mind an additional 30hp or so, and increased throttle response, then yes absolutely go for the tune. You will definitely feel the difference! With the mods you've done, you really need to get the car tuned to realize any gains they can provide.

With the mods you have. A tune will really help.

If going all out NA mods. Add 4.08 gearing (you will feel a difference) and then a tune. It is worth it.

How did the tune help you ride. I live in cali also and plan on going to see once my car is ready.

I'll answer that...YES!

Very noticeable difference is throttle response & acceleration.

Plus, you get a few other goodies with Ecutek tune

Multiple tunes...pump gas, high octane, oem, valet*(my favorite)

Launch control, flat foot shifting, adjustable traction control.

Seb & his crew are the best there is.

I just had my car tuned using UPREV by Jotech Motorsports. I only gained +7whp/+5wtq. I was hoping for more but it is what it is. I think my gains are pretty normal on FBO cars. I think maybe you gain more with less modifications which sounds crazy.

I think you are right. The tune is basically a tool that unlocks the remaining power left on the table regardless of the mods. Some guys only have a catback exhaust and a tune and they indeed gained a lot compared to bone stock. By having all the breather mods, the car already have about 12 to 15 hp more untuned and the tune allows to gain the rest.
