Getting Air/Fuel ratio out of Nissan Data Scan (NDSIII)

Hi, I have Nissan Data Scan NDSIII and I'm trying to get the stoichiometry. Is there a way of getting this as a typical wideband displayed value? -NT

I don't have NDSII, but I do have NDSIII Lite...

NDSIII Lite does have "WB Sensor 1/2", which is the wide band O2 sensor (aka air/fuel ratio sensor) BUT the value is in volts and not lambda or AFR.

Most of the AFR sensors Nissan uses indicate stoichiometric (14.7:1) at 2.20 volts, but that doesn't tell you much, like how rich or lean the fuelling is. It is not a linear relationship, so you can't use slope/offset to calculate it... it needs a lookup table.

BUT you can use Torque Pro or OBD Fusion and add it as a gauge on the dashboard.

Starting in 2008, AFR is a standard OBD PID and depending on how you configure the app, you can display it in AFR or (the better!) lambda.

This will work for your 2014, but I don't think you will see the "O2 Sensor Lambda" for your 2007.

I ditched NDSIII. I have the advanced versions of Torque and OBD fusion and these are better apps than NDSIII.

After Installing Uprev I realized that even with a good dongle the apps will never be as fast as a wired setup hooked up to a laptop.

The engine will try to his Stoich as quick as possible, the problem I faced was it was almost all the time in Stoich and just would not react as quick as you need.

My OBDLink MX+ gives me about 43-45 PID/second, which is VERY good.
If you want the fastest OBD speed, get an OBDLink SX (USB scanner) and with an "on the go" (OTG) cable on my 4 year old Android tablet, OBDLink shows 160-180 PID/sec.

Using the SX cable on Windows gave about 64 PIDs/second, which is also very good.... but a little hard to drive with a PC on your lap
