Default What's the reason for adjusting fan temp?

Hi, I got uprev tuned done a few weeks ago. And I notice the cooling fan comes on a lot more often now. I know the tuner made adjustment so it turns on sooner. Now the temperature gauge reads about 180 degrees on average. Is this adjustment really necessary? I'm asking because the fan is pretty loud, i can hear it from inside with windows up. It's pretty much on all the time except first starting up driving.

370Zs tend to run hot. Some people will lower the fan setpoint to help keep engine temp down.

Necessary? Not for most DDs but it's not a bad idea, either.

Talking

Think most tuners do the fan adjustment.

For every day purposes probably not necessary. But for engines, heat is the enemy and higher temps lower performance even if it's only a few degrees.
