Default E85 NA Tune

I just spoke to a local tuning shop and I'm wanting to be able to run using e85. I am NA but all I need are fuel pump and injectors (unsure what size). Anyone able to lead me to the right direction with both modifications? Thanks

750cc injectors for NA are sufficient and fuel pump to suit

If you are going just full bolt-ons you don't need a fuel pump and you will be fine with the R35 stock injectors. If you start dropping in cams, upping compression, upping displacement, and the like you will want to move up accordingly.

This is also coming from the school of thought with tuning and engine building that you should keep you injector size as close to your power needs as possible; and some do not proscribe to that school of thought. The above bolt-on R35 injectors and stock fuel pump come from 1 year of personal experience running flex-fuel.

Who did you get tuned with? ECUTEK? Also do you think its safe to drive the car around with r35 injectors for a few weeks before getting a tune?

TopSpeed Motorsports and yes: ECUTek, and I am using a Innovate ECF-1 gauge and sensors. Repurposed the fuel pressure sensor to do oil pressure. I wouldn't recommend running with the R35 injectors for more then a minute or two. Odds are high she will run super rich, go into LIMP mod and pull the timing which will then cause your headers to turn red hot... ask me how I know that will happen. Had to get a tow truck to take the car to the tuner; luckily insurance covered the trip.

I'm running GTR injectors and a 340lph pump with my E85 tune on Uprev.

If you are only going to run E-85 then you can use either UpRev or EcuTek. If you want the flex fuel capability then you have to go with EcuTek which is the better choice anyways. Not bashing UpRev, they have stepped up their game and are definately comparable with EcuTek now but are just shy on features available.

I already did the upgrade and dont have time to get it retuned for another month, so do you think it be safe to drive if i mix half e85 and half regular in the tank since e85 makes the car run much leaner since it needs about 30% more fuel compared to regular ? Thanks for answering before as well!

First off, don't do it. But just to be honest, many people add a gallon or 2 of E85 to like 3-4 gallons of 93 and do just fine without a tune on many different platforms. Not smart but, its been done.

This is a bad idea. If you have to do it, drive like your grandmother.
