Default EcuTek ECU dump now or after test pipe install?

I should be getting my order from EcuTek on Friday.

I am getting my test pipes installed next Wednesday. Should I wait to send the ECU dump until after the test pipe install or can I do that portion as soon as I get my EcuTek? Just want to get a jump on the eTune process if possible.

I asked John via email, but figured I would ask the forum here.

Thanks

I would wait for John's reply. If you purchased the off the shelf I don't think it will matter as it's made for CBE and Stock sized intake piping. If you purchased the custom then I would definitely wait before logging. If you need to have your ecu unlocked then go ahead and submit that as soon as you receive the kit so they can get that started.

Yes, that's the part I was thinking about. Should have been more specific. So I will do the initial dump and see if it says it needs to be unlocked. Thanks.

He's right, The ECU dump just starts the tuning process. You make the logs after the TP install next week. He might make a less aggressive map for you to drive on now but will probably wait to you TP's go in, No sense in making a tune for no reason
