Default Question about gas octane For the Uprev Tuned 370z.

Hi there

my 370z has just been Uprev tuned with 94 Octane Gas.

I wonder if it's safe to use 93 or even 91 octane gas if the 94 is not available when i am on an road trip or something.

Thanks

Using the highest octane possible is your best bet. Usually they only offer lower octane when you climb altitude, for example here the highest at a standard gas station is 91 and we're at 5300 ft. Your car will adjust during the road trip as well

If you have it tuned for 94, then that's all you should run on that map. Have your tuner provide a lower octane map. Do not run a 94 octane tune on 91.

If you have an up-rev tune. Your tuner should have put other maps in there for you to use. I have one map for 93, and another one for 91.

Up-rev will allow you 5 different maps.

Default Up Rev Tune?

What is an Up Rev Tune? I do understand about the higher altitudes and oxtane ratings.

Last time I crossed the boarder with 5 gallons for toluene, thankfully they didn't ask to go through the car so I didn't have to explain it. lol.

My car was Tuned to 94 when I bought it. Drove from Florida to utah and in utah for 2 months with no issues just filled up with premium each time. I have since retuned (etune) for local performance
