4 really fun laps
The video is pretty boring but I was having an absolute blast. This is Motorsport Ranch in Cresson Texas, just south of Ft. Worth. I would consider it my home track as I've ran it more than any other track, probably by double. In the video I am running the 3.1 configuration, which is my favorite. I am still on the stock Bridgestone’s so there was a lot of squealing and sliding.

Thanks! I am using Harrys Lap Timer and that is a external Tom Tom GPS iPhone mount that I have wired into my iPhone 4s. I've had the mount since I had an iPhone 3 and I find it works a lot better than just using the internal GPS on the iPhone. I just ordered an iPhone 5 and I doubt it will work with the Tom Tom because of the lightning connector so hopefully the internal GPS will be good enough.

^+1 Solid job behind the wheel.
I'm doing my first track event next Saturday, couldn't be more excited. Will probably download that app

We are really lucky to have 7 tracks within 3 hour drive from Dallas and another 3 more within 5 hours. I think this combined with being able to test all year is bringing a lot of pro teams to the area.
MSR - Motosport Ranch - Ft. Worth TMS - Texas Motor Speedway - Ft. Worth ECR - Eagles Canyon Raceway - Ft. Worth TWS - Texas World Speedway - College Station Harris Hill - Austin COTA - Austin Driveway - Austin |

MSR-H is one of the three that are over 3 hours but less than 5 hours from Dallas.
I'm not a big fan of MSR-H as it has no elevation change and every time I go it rains (10 miles from Gulf). I don't mind a little rain sometimes but it sucks to drive 5 hours and then get a lot of rain. I highly recommend you make a event at TWS in College Station. It is only 90 miles from Houston and there are events there all the time. |
