Default Need new place for front tow hook

I need to some advice on where to put in a NEW front tow hook for the track (other than the stock one) for my '09 Nismo Z. I installed a giant oil cooler a long time ago, and just in the last couple weeks, installed a Stillen supercharger. The problem is, those two products get in the way of each other and my install shop needed to cut into the front brace (my term) to get everything to fit. The standard tow hook for the car bolts into that brace that is now not strong enough to tow it with. I need advice on where to install an aftermarket tow hook for the front of the car that does not used that brace.

First off, show us some pictures as your setup sounds really cool. Do you have any track video??

A lot of cars are going with car straps instead of hooks. You just need to find a good bolt to put the strap on to and make sure the strap has a good range of motion.

Straps is a great idea, thanks for the heads up. I'll look into that. As far as my setup, I can show you two pictures together you'd get the idea... (the big slightly curved metal piece at the very front had to be partially cut to fit the supercharger). That piece is off limits. I have tons of track videos, but none with the supercharger because I just installed it and no track time around here (Reno) until it won't snow anymore - March at least. But if you want to see any of my videos before this mod - Bill Brockett - YouTube . ANY IDEA WHERE I CAN GET LONG TOW STRAPS]

Google search tow straps. There a dime a dozen. I'm going the same route as you. Much props on the driving. The Corvette needs a lesson in driving lines.

Holy ****. That is a huge oil cooler. Does it affect water temps? Why not go to a water/oil heat exchanger?

I mean.. it doesn't overheat?

I'm sure it impacts cooling in a measurable way, but the choice is raise coolant temp or raise oil temp... I'll go with coolant temp every time, within reason.
