V8 SUpercars are at Bathurst for the SpuerCheap Auto 1000km race today, tomorrow and race-day Sunday.

If anyone is interested (time zones all wrong for the US I know), you can access living timing and vid-streams here ...

It streamed live on youtube and was a lot of fun to watch. I just got this email from the Circuit of the Americas.

V8 Supercars will be making its first appearance at Circuit of The Americas May 17-19, 2013. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, October 16. Don't miss this intense action from Down Under!

General admission weekend passes for V8 Supercars are $69 each, and weekend reserved seats start at just $83!

Any of you Aussies that want to come up for the race can stay at my place. It's only a 18 hour flight to DFW airport

Holy crap...they are bringing V8 Super Cars to the US?? I might have to make the jump to Texas for this.

I say they make a fake-NASCAR race at Watkins Glen or one of the road courses on the season schedule and trick all of the NASCAR fans with what "COULD BE". Introduce them to what REAL V8-powered GM/Ford vehicles should be doing.
