Thank you for the head up!

Is it worth stepping up to the 1.0mm version? Gut instinct says yes, since it is a small cost difference, but is there a concern with not being able to fit when swapping to fresh pads and rotors? Is there enough clearance to be able to squeeze in both sizes?

I got the .05's and had no issues with them. Just be sure to use the grase with them.

Resurrecting this with a question. Did you notice any actual difference running the heat shields or just using them as extra insurance against boiling you fluid?

When your calipers start to change colors. You know the calipers were hot

I want to increase the life of my calipers and seals but how much do the shields help and .5mm or 1mm?

A quality brake ducting would probably serve you better than these shims

Edit: not saying these shims won’t help… but the brake ducts will make a bigger difference so those are probably a better first step.

That’s a very vague statement, because race pads need to operate at a certain temperature, and with improper brake cooler you could
Over cool the rotors or just cool
One side. I don’t run any brake ducting, and survived a 16 minute session at Sebring.

Not saying you can’t make it work without ducting. It just seems like fairly common practice for the track folks to implement brake ducts to lower temps.
