KSport Brakes???
Hi guys,
Just getting back into a Z chassis after being away for a few years. Bought a semi-prepped car from a guy. It’s got a KSport BBK on it (not certain which one as there’s like a million versions, I’ll need to pull them off the car to measure rotor sizes and count pistons). I’m not very familiar with the brand. Are KSport brakes any good? Or just poseur crap? Does anyone make a track-worthy pad for them? Carbotech or similar? Or do these need to go? I’ve searched a good bit and still haven’t found much of any info on pads to fit them. Thanks for any info! Brian Flanagan

You;ve never heard of Ksport? They are one of many fly by night eBay “entry level” brands, like D2 or god knows what
I wouldn’t trust them at all; he’ll, I trust the akebonos more There are established options for caliper upgrades that have been discussed here, most prominently an adapter for AP racing stuff by our own member darkjak See here: Brake Project and Interest: AP Racing CP9668/9660 Kit

Ksport is poser stuff.
Some Chinese manufacturers will run a batch as small as 5 kits to have your own company’s name stamped on it. Ksport is a brand name, not a manufacturer. “track worthiness” has many definitions. If you are very serious (your signature says so), then you already know the proven brands. Darkjak’s setup can accommodate much thicker pads, bonus for track rats.

if this is a "track" car with k-sport brakes I would seriously be worried about where else "cost savings" were applied
If you are n/a and intermediate or lower level, I would just get some OEM Akebonos, upgraded pads/rotors/lines/fluid, and a brake ducting kit. That's a fairly easy to put together setup that will hold up at that level if you're going further, or just want the extra capacity, i would contact Darkjak no sense risking your life on brake failure
