Default Dyno numbers

I have been working on this race project for over a year now.
Car has had a lot of issues from previous owner, but it was finally
ready for a base line dyno run. No tuning, just cat delete, side exit
exhaust with small muffler and OBX long tube headers. I had to replace
the rebuilt engine that came with the car with one from an '18 NISMO with
27k miles. I was surprised by how high torque was compared the the WHP.

In which gear are most people doing their dyno runs? Mine were all done in fourth. Also I moved my 34 row oil cooler from my previous Z to a track
only S2000, the oil filter for the S2000 screwed right onto sandwich adapter.
The S2000 oil filter is substantially larger than the Z filter. I have a 40 row oil
cooler on this car, would it be helpful and better for the oil pump to install the
S2000 filter on my Z to increase flow?

Dyno runs in 4th are pretty common. 5th will give a slightly higher reading.

5th gear has a 1:1 ratio on the MT. Need to use that on an inertia dyno. Gear choice is not as critical on a load dyno.

^^^Agreed! Seb does 4th gear runs because they are more accurate and better for tuning. Most will tune in forth gear and if you want a glory number then he will do a 5th gear run. Dyno numbers are for measuring cocks and boobs unless you are competing and you need to meet power to weight ratios. If you can't put the power down or drive the car then so what!

Had the car weighed with a full roll cage, aluminum front splitter and
aluminum rear diffuser and mostly empty fuel tank. 2747lbs.
With me in the car total of 2922lbs and 42.3% in rear and 57.7% front.
Hopefully with the wing and diffuser there will be enough downforce,
to balance the car. But at this weight I can strategically balast.
Will take the car for its maiden run at Sebring in two weeks.

Can you share some pictures of the interior? Want to see how it looks like when it’s gutted.

Here are some interior pics. The previous owner cut into the rear wheel
wells and removed everything aft of the frame behind the diff. There was
nothing to attach the rear bumper to, so a crash bar was welded on so the
bumper could be riveted to it. I welded in supports so the top of the bumper and the rear lights could be attached to something.

LOL, that is why he calls it the glory number. It not really inflated because the car and dyno are at 1:1 ratio, but for tuning purposes he tunes in forth gear.
