Recent Track Events -- COVID-19
OK, For any of you who have attend recent track events in this COVID-19 times of ours. Can you describe your experience and how it was handled.
I have read several things about what is suppose to happen, but I want to hear some experiences. I am asking only because I am on the fence, I want to go, but I also want to be safe for myself and GF. These are strange times and thanks for the input....

When we attended Sebring, they were hard on masks in the paddock, but that also meant, every outside area except your car or trailer. They blocked every other spot in the pit area. They also put a barrel between every other parking spot for rigs. They penalized drivers by taking track time away if not abiding by the rules. When people followed them, it was smooth, but it was so damn hot and having masks on was definitely a PITA in the heat.

have done several track days in the DFW Tx area. From what i have gathered the organizers have been trying to keep things about 80% full and require masks for drivers meetings, check ins, etc. By the end of the day about 90% of the mask rule is getting ignored... Inside people will wear it but outside between sessions... Its really hot!
Personally, I think washing hands and common since practices will keep track days going through all of this. I don't plan on stopping! |
