Default Dead pedal for track car?

I recently stripped out the interior of my 370Z to make it into a full time track car. This issue I'm running into is that when I removed the front carpet, it also removed the dead pedal. What's left is a flimsy piece of white foam. I'm looking for ideas of how to relpace the dead pedal as well as make the floorboard smother (it has a lot of sharp ridges that catch the heal of my shoe when braking). Anyone out there have a solution to share? Thank you.
