Do I need to replace the metal brake lines and hardware?
Since I took the car apart, do you guys think there is a need to replace the metal brake line that hooks up to the car? I figure with all the heat from the track, could that have cause damage to it? I am replacing the soft lines, but not sure if I need to do the metal hard lines that hook up to the caliper.
Secondly, I noticed all the hardware pins are coated with rust. Should I replace it or just clean it up? |

No, but I'd highly recommend changing your brake fluid that's a much needed upgrade for the track.

The hard lines are good. Unless you twisted one removing a soft line.
The pins can be cleaned up. Chuck one end up in a drill and spin it and holding a piece of scotch brite in your hand against the pin. Then flip the pin around and do the other end. To replace the pins. You have to buy the hardwear kit. Pins, clips and anti-rattle piece.

I just bought a set of stoptech stainless steel lines brand new from ebay for $110. I'll be replacing my fluid with 660 Motul DOT4 fluid.
