Get nitro nt05 in stock size or as close as you can. Spin them good to warm then then run the strip. You want sticky but not super sticky as you don't have VB crazy power.

If you want the fastest car you're going to switch from a 19, smaller diameter with a stickier tire, 555r or nt05r aren't bad

I think the best solution (at least this is what the serious race guys do) is to put the 350Z brembo rear calipers on the rear of the 370z. IINM, the 350 calipers will accommodate a 15" wheel

If the 17's fit...then a 275/40 would work;;; just remember- a smaller tire will be faster (if it hooks up) 10.72 was ran on 305/35/18's MT's w/TT engine...so probably overkill & slower on an N/A engine.

I don't know if they will fit a 17 over the big sport brakes, you'd have to do some research, if so, yes that would be a great option. But your still stuck with a street tire in the nt05, you want something a little stickier if you ask me

I would not get a tire larger than 305 in the rear. The car simply squats too much and you waste the outermost 2" anyways. The car cambers too negatively under hard fast load. I would actually shoot for stock size but a taller like 285/45/19 or even taller (bigger middle # as it is the ratio of the 1st # Incase u didn't know). Reason for this is because there but it's plenty of space before the stock tire hit anything even under load. Sure you mph reading will read higher than the Speedo but it's good cushion in the launch. You will be only on them temporary anyways.

18" rims is the smallest rim size that will fit over the rear Nismo brakes. My 18" HR rims just barely fit due or fact that the air nipple is in the middle of the rim and not on e outside surface. With a short stem nipple, I can't even use the cheap plastic cap on because it will snag on the brakes calipers.

so thats a no go on those 17s? so ur saying getting 305/35/19 drag radials is pointless? i have on 20s right now advan rs d i have 305/30/20 about 75 percent tread.....

Short story shorter...get two 18x10.5 or 18x11 wheels and either Nitto or MT drag radials and call it a day!
YzGyz and jchammond like this.
