Yup, 69G Quaife with flat-shift in the Motec. ECU senses gear-lever movement and cuts spark for a few milli-seconds to take the load of the dogs and it just slides straight into the next gear - no clutch.
The saves around 200ms per up shift and that translates into lap time as the car continues to accelerate instead of coasting whilst you fiddle with the clutch and shifter. I put a sequential into my race car and immediately found a second per lap at most circuits. |
