Is my current race car ..... about to be retired to one of the Historic Racing categories because it is so old

It was built in 1972 ... I've had it for a very long time and need to "come current" - hence the Z34 engine project and all the other stuff planned or in progress - like adding 300kg is "lightness" to the Z34 chassis.

The Z34 needs to be quicker ......

The 4.08 FD gears, Mechanical Diff, and yeah add -300 lbs ,the car is quick. I have been able to get to -200 or so- I really need to get my car weighed at some point.
I have another 60-80 lbs planned, but it's the expensive kind.

I want my Z34 at 1250-1280kg and it is 1520kg now - it needs a 'big" diet.

Timesheet from our last event this past weekend in Open Sports Cars ...

Cannot compete with specialist GT3 cars, but still come home in front of some current technology .. I am race number 50 ........

Like I said, this is what my Z34 project is designed to improve upon .... I am looking forward now although I will still run the "old antique" until the Z34 is ready ... hoping for Round 1 next year in late-March, but a lot of work to be done before then.
