Default Suspension Setup Help!

Hey guys so I just participated in my first NASA event here in AZ and well....i'm hooked. I've been searching around but there is such a variety of inconsistent info and i'm hoping some track guys can chime in.

I will be picking up some KW v3s eventually and either an OS Giken/Quaife (I know the Giken will be better for the track just more maintenance).

I currently have Eibach swaybars but from what i'm discovering from some setups is people run the softest rear and the stiffest front bar you can get. If so what would you guys recommend I run? Something like a stock rear with a hotchkis front or something?

Now on for the rims/tire setup. I was looking at purchasing some RPF1s but people were having some fitment issues. Found that people were able to fit the +15 offset rims over the sports package brakes and if needed I could run a 2.5mm spacer in the front to add a tad more clearance.
Any other rim suggestions in that price range?

Sizes: (Referring to 18s in this whole post) Seems like people are either running staggered with 9.5 front and 10.5 rear or a square 9/9.5/10.5 sort of setup with 275/295 tires. Can anyone chime in on this and recommend a setup?

Sorry for the long post, hopefully some of you guys can help me out and get into the track world!
-Thanks!

IMO the quaiffe is a better pure track day diff than the giken. If you want to autoX/drift/drag/track the giken might be more appropriate and versatile.

I run RPF1 285's square with no fitment issues, some guys will use a small rear spacer.

Eibach/Stillen front with OEM rear is a solid setup on the OEM dampers/springs. I think anymore would overload the front too much.

I'm really not sure what you're asking...but I have a question for you:

What's wrong with your current setup?

Have you set the Top Time of Day on your first track event and can't squeeze another .01 of a second out of your existing setup?

Given this is your first track event, my experience says this: You had fun, you want to get faster, youre thinking parts will help you do that. You are incorrect. Nothing is wrong with your setup. Go drive. If you want to buy parts, buy ones that will safe guard the engine/cooling/brakes against failure. Please understand that you're about to make pointless purchases. Drive the car for a full season - then start modding. Tires and Brakes, then suspension.

Don't get a quaife diff. The first time you unload the inside rear wheel and the quaife opens up you'll immediately regret spending the money on the quaife. This is easily the most costly "oops" I've made in modding my own car.

I totally get what you are saying don't worry! Only reason i'm asking is because i'm just looking for a set of tires/rims just for my track days. Nothing hardcore really. I've setup my brakes to where they work well (at my level) and cooling is pretty solid right now. Not sure if you read the whole post but I am looking for help with a solid rim/tire setup also. This is what I would be doing first. I am just looking for advice down the road.

I know I dedicated a good chunk of that post to suspension but I am really interested in tires and rims at the moment. Sorry if I didn't make that clear.

I was looking at the RPF1s, what offset and width do you run to clear the sport brakes fine?

Did you lose a parking lot race last weekend?

Don't own an autocross car any more and have forgotten more about these platforms since my morning poo then you've ever known. That's why I hang around...
