I have heard people complain that mocool/water wetter has caused internal corrosion on seals etc. I really don't think the issue is those products-in fact I know it isn't. My guess is that they used tap water right out of the hose. Don't do that. The salts, chlorides, and metals that are in your tap water will definitely do some damage to your radiator,seals, hoses etc.
Make sure it is RO/DI water(which they don't sell too often at the supermarket anymore)/ Don't use "RO water", "purified water", "distilled" water or bottled drinking water. It has to be RO/DI water-there's a difference. Go to a saltwater fish store with a 5 gallon bucket, they make and sell RO/DI water. It costs <$2.00 to fill a 5 gallon container.
