Default AC Issue with Stillen Gen 3

It's getting little warm now so recently I cranked up my AC - no problem I'll give it a few to get it cold air - after driving few minutes it was just blowing hot air.

Next day I took it to Autonation Nissan in Lewisville as I was working close by there - the tech said intake tube was rubbing against the AC line and causing it to leak. I thought it just needed basic freon.

I did some research and it seems like it's a known issue with the intake if the steps were not done properly - I read over the instructions and it clearly states to cover the AC lines.

I bought this car off the lot from Grubb's Nissan and intake, exhaust .. everything was done by Screamin Lizard customs. So these are already installed when I was buying the car.

Seems like they should be liable for this and reading others it cost them around $600 for parts alone.

Any feedbacks??

They should cover it.
It's not $600 of parts. That part is $29 and labor is a bitch.

That sucks, I think I heard of stillen rubbing on someone else ac lines before. But they thought is was fault of Nissan.

Next time go with intakes that run into fender ie: AEM, Nismo. JK but for real how long ago did you get this installed, usually shops will warranty their work for at least a year.

Stillen recommends covering the A/C lines with rubber hosing to prevent this from happening. Installer should have done that.

Update: dropped of the car at the dealership - got a nice loaner... several hours later my service manager calls and said they'll cover everything because it was their fault.

Dealership is Grubb's Nissan.

I believe they should as the Gen 3 intake was installed by them.
