Houston Install Price
So I contacted my local shop here in Houston, TX that has done some simple work on my Z thus far (exhaust & sway bars) to ask about an install price on springs, struts, rear chamber arms, toe bolts, and eccentric lockout.
The e-mail I got back quoted approx. 11 hours labor or about $1,200. This struck me as entirely too high. Am I off base here? I'm not naming the shop, but it one of the only two places here that are known to specialize in 370s... Thanks for your input and help. |

That does seem high by a few hours.

Thanks man -- I couldn't see this being correct either.
I figured the springs and struts are probably a good 5 hours, SPL quotes .6/hr a side for the rear chamber arms, and I would think the toe bolts and eccentric lockout would be fairly straightforward as well... Do you know any other reputable shops here in Houston...? |

Gas Head Motorsports installed my camber arms and performed an alignment for less than 3 bills.

Only place I know is J-Tran Motorsports. But anyways, if you're looking at professional shops, they would always charge an arm and leg. I'm in the Dallas area and could easily knock over 50% of their price. Try seeking some enthusiasts there that works on their cars, they might be able to help you out b

They hear a nice sport car and their eyes lit up with dollar signs. The highest I've been quoted for all of the above installed was about 600-$750. But I ended up paying less than half that including my test pipes installed. Too bad you're not in Socal you could hit me up for a referral.
