Default Experiences from tuners in DFW

Hello all, I'm planning to do some bolt ons and possibly tuning by summer time. I was wondering about everyone's experiences and results from their tuner, what dynos they use and rates! I went down to Alamo Autosports and it was eh, I didn't feel 100% welcomed so I was feeling awkward the whole time. One last thing I'd like to ask from the experience is that, is it somewhat low friendly to get to! Any replies and help are welcomed!

Make sure you get a baseline before any parts are installed. Some of us were dumb and never did.

Well I already have Top speed axlebacks and k&n drop ins and sold my OEM axleback so it's a bit too late haha. I plan on getting art pipes, Stillen G3 CAI and whatever power proven brand of cbe that pops up for sale.

I did a tune at PRT in Lewisville on Monday. Steve Kan is a great Tuner and is open to explaining what he's doing as you're getting tuned.

When you got your tune, did you find out how much gains you got or any sort of dyno sheets? I'm just deciding between AWDtuning and PRT ATM. Was is somewhat low friendly to get to/into as well?

I got my tune done at AWDTuning last month. Keith is a really nice guy and seems very knowledgeable about our cars, despite the parking lot being full of WRX's and STI's. I feel that he was very thorough and did a nice job on my car. It's been a blast to drive since I got the tune done.

The area is pretty flat, so should definitely be friendly if you're lowered quite a bit. Can't see my paperwork since I'm at the office right now, but I believe he charged me $650 for the UpRev license, tune and before/after dyno runs.

I, like you, went to Alamo Autosports and didn't get a great vibe from the place or the staff I spoke with. This is my first sports car, the most expensive car I've purchased and the first time having any mods or work done to a vehicle, so I was understandably nervous going into this. I felt in good hands when I went to visit AWD though, so that's why I decided to give them my business. I live like 10 minutes from Alamo, but AWD was totally worth the hour drive.

If you go to AWD, tell Keith that Kris with the 2015 Nismo sent you.

Seriously the tune is critically important. I'd look for a shop that specializes in nissan/infinity if you can. Re-tunes are 295 basically, but your first as mentioned earlier expect 600-700 including license.

Ive had mine tuned 3 times now and hopefully 3rd time was the charm and the right person. Signs are good. Good luck

Yeah...he kept the beginning run file and the end. Gained 14whp from tune alone (Mustang dyno)

It is low friendly there too...a buddy was in his '08 G Sedan on coilovers

Funny y'all brought up Alamo. I know a lot of people that field it was very 'clique'-ish there
