FNG, and seeking some advice
(FNG = fukin new guy)
hello everyone, brand new here. just got my Z last weekend, loving it so far. i'll try to make it to one of the meets soon so i can seek some advice. in the meantime, my Z only came with one key and i'd like to get another as a backup. has anyone done of the same? if so, where did you get yours? and how'd you get it reprogrammed? thanks! |

Where in SoCal?
Also, check out the for sale section on here before you spend $100 or so on just the replacement key without program from a dealership. Factory Key Fob I would highly recommend checking out the VIPER alarm/remote start or even a simliar lesser grade product. Heres the reason.. They have to program the key anyways to get it to start the car. So you'll have to pay an audio shop to program the ignition of the car. However you have a manual, so i am not sure if you can have the remote start function. Nissan Fob - $80+Shipping + Programming Aftermarket- $50-200 Installed

Unless it's different on Zs, you'd just have to bypass the neutral safety switch or clutch switch. Just don't leave your car in gear when you park it after it's installed.
